Typically, you can begin the H-1B application process around your MBA graduation. Applications are due by April 1st each year, and you are eligible to apply once in the subsequent cycle. Visa results are usually announced from early to mid-October.
Currently, the H-1B visa is one of the 50 U.S. visas regulated under Immigration Law 101(a)(15)(H), designed for professional occupations (excluding nurses). Approximately 20,000 visas are allocated annually for master’s and doctoral degree holders, and 65,000 for bachelor’s degree holders.
